About & Host

Situated on the gentle south facing slopes rising out of Pitlochry centre, Ardvane has pretty views, catching the sun all day, which can be enjoyed from most rooms, the breakfast conservatory and the outdoor patio.

Inside, our rooms are equipped with fast free wifi, TVs and tea/coffee making facilities. We also offer our guests complimentary barista quality coffee, tea and cold drinks 24hrs a day in the breakfast lounge.

Ardvane is a perfect base for exploring the local area. There is so much to do. Lots of hiking, hills and pretty glens. Also plenty of mountain biking, river rafting, golf etc. For older members of the group there's lots of cafes in Pitlochry, the high street is only a 5 mins walk from the house.

There's also some great attractions, such as Pitlochry Dam and fish ladder, Edradour Distillery, Blair Castle, The House of Bruar and Highland Safaris, all within a 30 mins drive.

There are great places to eat and drink. Escape Route Cafe, Victorias, Mackays Fish & Chips, The Old Mill, Moulin Inn.

Edinburgh is 90mins drive, Cairngorm National Park is 60mins North and Ben Nevis 90mins.

The local area is very friendly with lots of things going on, ask in local cafes about stuff that's happening and what to do.

Please don't hesitate to ask us if you need suggestions for things to do or help with finding local businesses and activities.

Ardvane B&B is run by Cor Smith.

I was born and raised on a hill sheep farm not far from Pitlochry but ended up working all over the world. I've come back to where I grew up, to raise my daughter, in this wonderful friendly, active, outdoor community.

I'm up early every morning to cook for you, but try to spend most afternoons sport climbing locally or on an adventure with my daughter.

My aim at Ardvane is to blend a traditional rural atmosphere with modern technology and offer you great quality and convenience, with a flavour of our traditions and local community spirit.
